Hi! I'm Pastor Hayden, the associate pastor at St. Martin. It's an honor to be here, to get to know this community, and to help us discern how God is working in this place.

This is my first time serving as a pastor. My internship (called a "vicarage") was at a large congregation in central Florida, not far from Disney World. For the last few years, I've been working towards a Ph.D. in Doctrinal Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. During that time, I served as a musician at my congregation in the Lindenwood neighborhood and in a similar role at a congregation in the Carondelet neighborhood of St. Louis. 

I married Rebekah in 2018, whom I met in the Milwaukee area while I attended Concordia University Wisconsin. She is also a doctoral student at Concordia Seminary and is a certified deaconess. Together we've had three children: Oswald, August, and Flannery. Before we moved, she worked as a communications specialist for Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. While we aren't doing work, taking care of our children and our house, or doing our school work, Rebekah and I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going for hikes, play board games and video games, and--of course--reading. I'm also a songwriter, with an album you can stream here.

I'm humbled by my call to be a pastor here, and excited to see how St. Martin continues to respond to the good news that Jesus is Lord. I am always happy to set up an appointment to talk. My door is always open. God be with you.
